Hunger Free Colorado: Anyone who might need help locating food can call the Food Resource Hotline, 855.855.4626, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Food Resource Hotline keeps all information confidential and has bilingual staff ready to help Coloradans find food and nutrition resources in their community, as well as provide assistance for applying to federal nutrition programs such as SNAP.  They also provide a wonderful food resources webpage that lists information regarding school meals near you, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC, and food pantries. You can text FOOD or COMIDA to 877-877 and receive food distribution locations for kids 18 and under or view the website map.

Food Resource Guide: A list of food pantries in the Denver area, and their modified COVID-19 operation status, that is being updated consistently. Check back regularly for updates. Information is also available in Spanish.

 

5280 Produce: 5280 Produce has pick-up available for produce and bulk boxes. Check their Facebook Page for prices and inventory.

Access-A-Ride Grocery Pick-up Services: To receive this service, you must first fill out an application on the RTD website or call 303.299.2960 to ask for one to be mailed to you. To travel on Access‑a‑Ride, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Be unable to get to and from a bus stop or on and off a lift-equipped bus by yourself
  2. Have a cognitive disability that prohibits your understanding of how to complete bus trips

RTD is providing grocery delivery to customers' homes from the following locations: King Soopers, Safeway, Community Ministry Southwest Food Bank, Senior Hub Senior Solutions, Adams County Food Bank, The Action Center, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Growing Home, Moore Life Center, and Community Food Share.

Adams County Food Bank: Available to anyone at this time. ID needed in order to receive food. Wednesdays - Fridays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. To maintain social distancing regulations, operations will be conducted outside and drivers are to remain in their vehicles, as food is available curbside. Because of this, the food bank will be closed on days with bad weather. To obtain food for one time only, all you need to bring is your ID. To obtain food weekly, bring a photo ID and a piece of mail to show proof of residence in Adams County. Location: 7111 E 56th Ave, Commerce City.

NOTE: If you are in need of a ride to access the food bank, Access-A-Ride has partnered with RTD Access-a-Ride during the state of emergency time frame by supplying food boxes to people without transportation or confined in their homes. They are also taking applications to transport those who need it, so that they can access food resources, medical appointments, and other trips that are considered necessary. To contact Access-A-Ride for an application, please call 303.299.2960. After filling out the application and sending it back to them, you will be able to book an appointment to visit the food bank or receive meal delivery.
Amazing Grace Community Church - Pre-Packaged Meals: Located at 541 E. 99th Pl., ThorntonAmazing Grace has partnered with the Food Bank of the Rockies to provide pre-packaged boxes of food to anyone who may need them. Food is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, from 9 -11:45 a.m., outside of the church building.

Aurora Interfaith Community Services: Available to Aurora residents only. Pre-packaged food kits are available by appointment only. Appointment times occur Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Call 303.360.0260 after 8:30 a.m. to make an appointment for the same day. They recommend calling early due to limited staff. Please keep trying if you get a busy signal. NOTE: Requirements to receive food: 

  • Must be an Aurora resident with current mail-within 30 days-validating address, unless homeless
  • ID’s for all being served
Bennett Community Food Bank: Located at 1100 E Colfax Ave., BennettAvailable to anyone during this time. No ID or any other requirements needed to receive food. Food pick-up is on the first and third Saturday of the month from 8-10 a.m. Pre-packaged boxes of food (commensurate with family size) are available via curbside delivery.
Bienvenidos Food BankLocated at 3810 Pecos Street, DenverOpen weekly on Thursdays (except 3rd Thursday of the month) January to October, then visit Mobile Pantry. On Thursdays when they are open, services are available 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4 - 5:30 p.m. NOTE: Anyone may use the pantry for up to four visits regardless of location. No documentation needed for this type of visit. To receive services each week the pantry is open, you must live in one of these zip codes: 80211, 80212, 80204, 80216 or 80221, and provide an ID (passports, Mexican or other ID’s are all OK) and proof of address (such as a utility bill).
Brighton Seventh Day Adventist Church: Available to anyone. Food pick-up is available the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. - noon. No ID, or other requirements, needed to obtain food. Located at 567 E Bromley Ln., Brighton. NOTE: This food pantry is operating as a drive-thru to maintain social distancing regulations. Please remain in your car throughout your time here.
Calvary Chapel Food Pantry: Serving residents of Brighton, Fort Lupton, Hudson, Lochbuie, and Henderson. Pantry Hours: Our new times are every 2nd and 4th Monday from 5-6 p.m. No ID needed. For more information, please call 303.659.1886. Located at 103 E. Bridge St., Brighton.

Denver Office of Children's Affairs: Denver invites youth, ages 1 - 18, to enjoy a free supper that includes up to five food groups low in fat, preservative free, and served with fresh fruit on the side. Registration or signing in is not required, just show up and eat!\n\nTo maintain social distancing regulations, meals are being offered in grab-and-go fashion. No ID or registration required. View a list of locations and times.
Dick's Sporting Goods - FBR Mobile PantryLocated at 6000 Victory Way, Commerce CityAvailable to anyone. Food pick-up is on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month at 9 a.m. 
Father Woody's Haven of HopeAvailable to anyone. Sack lunches to-go are available Monday - Friday, 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Due to safety precautions, no one is allowed to enter the building, so lunches will be passed out near the front door. All other services are unavailable at this time. No ID needed. Located at 1101 W. 7th Ave., Denver.
F.I.S.H. Food Bank @ Savior Lutheran Church: Located at 67700 Monaco St., Commerce CityAvailable to Commerce City residents. Colorado ID needed. Food available Tuesday - Friday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. NOTE: To receive  food, please ring the doorbell at the back door near the parking lot on the east side. From there, pre-packaged boxes of food will be brought out to your car to maintain social distancing standards.
Food Bank of the Rockies Emergency Partners: To respond as safely and effectively as possible, Food Bank of the Rockies has created an Emergency Support Team prepared to assist people in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. View a list of locations where you can access food.
Food Bank of the Rockies Mobile Food PantryLocated at Brighton's Historic City Hall, 22 S 4th Avenue, the parking lot east of the building. Available to anyone. Food pick-up is available on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9 - 10:30 a.m., weather permitting. No qualifications or eligibility requirements. WEATHER HOTLINE: 303.371.9250.
Food Bank of the Rockies Mobile PantryOperating on the third Thursday of every month in a drive-thru setting (walk-ups will not be turned away) at 9065 Grant St., Thornton. Access the parking lot on the northwest corner of Grant St. and Russell Blvd. Distribution begins at 1 p.m. and ends when all the food has been distributed (typically about an hour). Arriving no later than 1:30 p.m. is recommended.
Food Bank of the Rockies at Scott United Methodist Church: Located in the parking lot of Scott United Methodist Church, 2880 Garfield St., Denver. Available to ages 55+. Food pick-up available on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9-11 a.m. Bring an ID with you when you visit for the first time. You will then be issued a card to bring with you to your next visit, so that you may continue to receive food.
Good Shepherd Food Bank: Available to residents who live in zip codes 80260 and 80234, the Good Shepherd Food Bank is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10-11:45 a.m. Please bring a picture ID, proof of address (a current bill sent to you at that address) in zip code 80234 or 80260, and verification of total household income. The food pantry is in the basement of the church. To get there, go down the side stairs of the building and look for signs to help direct the way.
Grace Bible Fellowship: Located at 15559 Weld County Road 2, Brighton. Open every Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until supplies run out (one box of food per family). No ID required. They have a drive-up distribution. 303.659.6487. Website: wearegrace.com.
Great Commission New Song Food Bank: Visit the Great Commission New Song Food Bank at 8242 N. Pecos St., Denver. This food bank provides food to anyone who may need it on the second, third, fourth, and fifth Sundays of the month at 12:30 p.m. It is currently operating as a drive-thru to maintain social distancing regulations, so please remain in your vehicle and volunteers will bring boxes of food out to your car.
Greater Park Hill Community: Located at 2823 Fairfax St., DenverAvailable to Park Hill residents only. Pre-packed bags will be distributed, commensurate with family size, at the door. Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m-1 p.m. To get started, bring your ID, proof of address in the Park Hill area for all the adults in your household and documentation of the children in your home (student ID, birth certificate, etc.) to the above address anytime from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. After registering, clients can visit up to nine times a year.
Growing Home Food BankAvailable Monday - Saturday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at 3489 West 72nd Avenue #112, Westminster. Call 303.426.0430 or visit the website for the latest information. Growing Home now has a drive-thru food pantry which will be open to the general public. Food will be provided in a prepackaged box.
Have a Heart Project: Location is 3455 W. 72nd Ave., Westminster. Available to anyone. Pick up food on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 8-10 a.m. No ID or paperwork needed, no referrals needed. Only need to fill out a short application before receiving food. Due to social distancing regulations, only 10 families can be in the pantry at once. Please bring bags with you to carry your food to your car. Food distribution takes place in the parking lot behind the building. There will be signs to help guide you, if you need them.
Immaculate Heart of Mary in Northglenn: Located at 11426 Pearl St., NorthglennAvailable to anyone at this time. Food bank is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9-11:30 a.m. Photo ID needed. Due to social distancing regulations, only a limited amount of people are able to be in the building at once. With this in mind, dress for the weather, as there may be long wait times outside.
Jewish Family  Service of Colorado - Weinberg Food PantryFood is available to anyone Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 3201 S. Tamarac Dr., Denver. While the building is closed to the public, there will be a drive-thru food pantry available with pre-packaged food by the big blue awning. Able to visit up to 12 times a year. Pet food is available on the third Friday of the month. Only one visit to the pantry per week. ID is needed, unless unable to provide one. No pre-registration or proof of income needed at this time. Jewish Family Service of Colorado is currently giving out mostly canned goods, as this is what is available.
Let Your Light Shine: Available to seniors, immunocompromised individuals, and low- or no-income families. There are no requirements (ID or otherwise) to receive food. Will ask for size of family and address, so that the organization knows how much food to provide and where they can drop it off. Call 720.979.2322email, or message their Facebook page to ask about receiving aid.
Meals on Wheels: Find your local Meals on Wheels site here. Provides delivered meals to homebound adults who qualify based on income. Generally, programs serve adults 60 and over, although age requirements can vary by program and areas served. In Colorado, much of the state is covered by Volunteers of America. You can find help in your area here or by calling 303.297.0408.
Mountain Terrace Community: Located at 3650 W. 84th Ave., WestminsterFood available for Mountain Terrace residents only. Pick-up is on Tuesdays from 1 - 3 p.m. Call 303.426.5494 for more details.
North Denver Cares Food PantryLocated at 6900 W 117th Ave. #700W, BroomfieldAvailable to residents in Broomfield and Boulder Counties. Food pantry is open on Tuesdays from 10-4, Wednesdays from 10-2, Thursdays from 7 a.m.-12 p.m. To receive food, you will need a photo ID, proof of address (like a utility bill), and proof of income showing need at 200% of the federal poverty level.
Northglenn Christian Church Food Bank:  Located at 1800 E. 105th Pl., Northglenn. Operating hours are Tuesday-Thursday, 10-11:45 a.m. Call 303.452.3787 for more information.
Restoration Outreach Programs: Located at 1540 Boston St., AuroraAvailable to anyone. No ID or proof of need needed in order to receive food. Food is available every Tuesday 11:3 0a.m.-12:30 p.m. Food distribution will take place outside to maintain social distancing regulations.
Salvation Army - West Adams County: Available to anyone Monday–Friday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at 2821 W. 65th Pl., Denver. Only one family in the pantry at a time. Increased cleaning protocols have been established.
Senior Assistance Center - Meal Pick-upLocated at 2839 W. 44th. Ave., DenverAvailable to lower-income adults, ages 55 and over in Denver. Emergency food bag pick-up services are available curbside by appointment only. Call 303.455.9642 to make an appointment, available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
Senior Hub Food Bank: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m., by appointment only. Call 303.426.4408 to schedule an appointment. Senior Food Boxes also available through Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP). Must be 55+ to receive food, and bring ID and proof of address to appointment. 
Senior Support Services - Pick-up MealsLocated at 846 E. 18th Ave., DenverOn weekdays from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., clients who live in Denver can pick-up meals to take with them. No services on the weekends.
Servicios de la Raza: Located at 3131 W. 12th Ave. DenverAvailable to anyone. ID needed. Food available every Wednesday from 12-2 p.m. 
St. Augustine Food Pantry: Available to anyone on Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., at 129 S. 6th Ave., Brighton. It is recommended you arrive before 12:30 p.m. Clients are asked to drive-up or walk-up in the alley behind the building where boxes of food will be loaded into client vehicles.
Strasburg Community Church: Located at 56155 Sunset Ave, StrasburgAvailable to anyone. Serves food every Friday from 3:30-6 p.m. No ID required. May need to show proof of income, as some food is subsidized by the government. NOTE: There may be long wait times, so the earlier you arrive, the better.
The Action CenterLocated at 8745 W. 14th Ave., Lakewood. Food pick-up is available, by appointment, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Call 720.215.4850 to set up an appointment.

The Gathering Place: The Gathering Place, 1535 N. High St., Denver, currently offers the following on-site services on weekdays, during their normal hours: 

  • Meals – breakfast, lunch, and snack (no snack on Tuesday)
  • Laundry facilities
  • Showers and restrooms
  • Nap beds
  • Mail pick-up
  • Emergency clothing
  • Food bags

No ID or pre-registration is required. No fees with services. This organization provides services to women, children, and transgender males. Cisgender men are not being served at this time.

Thornton Community Food Bank: Available to residents with a 80229 zip code. Food can be picked up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 12:30-3 p.m., at 8990 York St., Thornton. ID is required, as well as paperwork or mail that shows proof of residence.
Thrive Church: Available to anyone on Fridays from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 2820 W. 92nd Ave., Federal Heights. NOTE: Bring ID and proof of address with you.
Tri-City Baptist Church: Located at  6953 W 92nd Ln, Broomfield. Available to anyone. No ID or proof of address needed. Every other Tuesday, 3:30-5:30 p.m. Currently operating their food bank as a drive-thru to maintain social distancing regulations.
Village Exchange Center: Food pantry. No ID or documentation required. For information, call 720.668.9968.
