Featured ResourcesHunger Free Colorado: Anyone who might need help locating food can call the Food Resource Hotline, 855.855.4626, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Food Resource Hotline keeps all information confidential and has bilingual staff ready to help Coloradans find food and nutrition resources in their community, as well as provide assistance for applying to federal nutrition programs such as SNAP. They also provide a wonderful food resources webpage that lists information regarding school meals near you, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC, and food pantries. You can text FOOD or COMIDA to 877-877 and receive food distribution locations for kids 18 and under or view the website map. Food Resource Guide: A list of food pantries in the Denver area, and their modified COVID-19 operation status, that is being updated consistently. Check back regularly for updates. Access-A-Ride Grocery Pick-up Services: To receive this service, you must first fill out an application on the RTD website or call 303.299.2960 to ask for one to be mailed to you. To travel on Access‑a‑Ride, you must meet one of the following criteria:
RTD is providing grocery delivery to customers' homes from the following locations: King Soopers, Safeway, Community Ministry Southwest Food Bank, Senior Hub Senior Solutions, Adams County Food Bank, The Action Center, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Growing Home, Moore Life Center, and Community Food Share. |
| Adams County Food Bank: Available to anyone at this time. ID needed in order to receive food. Wednesdays - Fridays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. To maintain social distancing regulations, operations will be conducted outside and drivers are to remain in their vehicles, as food is available curbside. Because of this, the food bank will be closed on days with bad weather. To obtain food for one time only, all you need to bring is your ID. To obtain food weekly, bring a photo ID and a piece of mail to show proof of residence in Adams County. Location: 7111 E 56th Ave, Commerce City. NOTE: If you are in need of a ride to access the food bank, Access-A-Ride has partnered with RTD Access-a-Ride during the state of emergency time frame by supplying food boxes to people without transportation or confined in their homes. They are also taking applications to transport those who need it, so that they can access food resources, medical appointments, and other trips that are considered necessary. To contact Access-A-Ride for an application, please call 303.299.2960. After filling out the application and sending it back to them, you will be able to book an appointment to visit the food bank or receive meal delivery. |
| Amazing Grace Community Church - Pre-Packaged Meals: Located at 541 E. 99th Pl., Thornton. Amazing Grace has partnered with the Food Bank of the Rockies to provide pre-packaged boxes of food to anyone who may need them. Food is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, from 9 -11:45 a.m., outside of the church building. |
Aurora Interfaith Community Services: Available to Aurora residents only. Pre-packaged food kits are available by appointment only. Appointment times occur Monday through Thursday, 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Call 303.360.0260 after 8:30 a.m. to make an appointment for the same day. They recommend calling early due to limited staff. | Bennett Community Food Bank: Located at 1100 E Colfax Ave., Bennett. Available to anyone during this time. No ID or any other requirements needed to receive food. Food pick-up is on the first and third Saturday of the month from 8-10 a.m. Pre-packaged boxes of food (commensurate with family size) are available via curbside delivery. |
| Bienvenidos Food Bank: Located at 3810 Pecos Street, Denver. Open weekly on Thursdays (except 3rd Thursday of the month) January to October, then visit Mobile Pantry. On Thursdays when they are open, services are available 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 4 - 5:30 p.m. NOTE: Anyone may use the pantry for up to four visits regardless of location. No documentation needed for this type of visit. To receive services each week the pantry is open, you must live in one of these zip codes: 80211, 80212, 80204, 80216 or 80221, and provide an ID (passports, Mexican or other ID’s are all OK) and proof of address (such as a utility bill). |

| Food Bank of the Rockies Mobile Pantry: Operating on the third Thursday of every month in a drive-thru setting (walk-ups will not be turned away) at 9065 Grant St., Thornton. Access the parking lot on the northwest corner of Grant St. and Russell Blvd. Distribution begins at 1 p.m. and ends when all the food has been distributed (typically about an hour). Arriving no later than 1:30 p.m. is recommended. |

Food pick-up available on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9-11 a.m. Bring an ID with you when you visit for the first time. You will then be issued a card to bring with you to your next visit, so that you may continue to receive food. |
| Good Shepherd Food Bank: Available to residents who live in zip codes 80260 and 80234, the Good Shepherd Food Bank is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 10-11:45 a.m. Please bring a picture ID, proof of address (a current bill sent to you at that address) in zip code 80234 or 80260, and verification of total household income. The food pantry is in the basement of the church. To get there, go down the side stairs of the building and look for signs to help direct the way. |

| Great Commission New Song Food Bank: Visit the Great Commission New Song Food Bank at 8242 N. Pecos St., Denver. This food bank provides food to anyone who may need it on the second, third, fourth, and fifth Sundays of the month at 12:30 p.m. It is currently operating as a drive-thru to maintain social distancing regulations, so please remain in your vehicle and volunteers will bring boxes of food out to your car. |
| Greater Park Hill Community: Located at 2823 Fairfax St., Denver. Available to Park Hill residents only. Pre-packed bags will be distributed, commensurate with family size, at the door. Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m-1 p.m. To get started, bring your ID, proof of address in the Park Hill area for all the adults in your household and documentation of the children in your home (student ID, birth certificate, etc.) to the above address anytime from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. After registering, clients can visit up to nine times a year. |

Growing Home now has a drive-thru food pantry which will be open to the general public. Food will be provided in a prepackaged box. |
| Have a Heart Project: Location is 3455 W. 72nd Ave., Westminster. Available to anyone. Pick up food on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month from 8-10 a.m. No ID or paperwork needed, no referrals needed. Only need to fill out a short application before receiving food. Due to social distancing regulations, only 10 families can be in the pantry at once. Please bring bags with you to carry your food to your car. Food distribution takes place in the parking lot behind the building. There will be signs to help guide you, if you need them. |
| Immaculate Heart of Mary in Northglenn: Located at 11426 Pearl St., Northglenn. Available to anyone at this time. Food bank is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9-11:30 a.m. Photo ID needed. Due to social distancing regulations, only a limited amount of people are able to be in the building at once. With this in mind, dress for the weather, as there may be long wait times outside. |
| Jewish Family Service of Colorado - Weinberg Food Pantry: Food is available to anyone Tuesday – Friday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at 3201 S. Tamarac Dr., Denver. While the building is closed to the public, there will be a drive-thru food pantry available with pre-packaged food by the big blue awning. Able to visit up to 12 times a year. Pet food is available on the third Friday of the month. Only one visit to the pantry per week. ID is needed, unless unable to provide one. No pre-registration or proof of income needed at this time. Jewish Family Service of Colorado is currently giving out mostly canned goods, as this is what is available. |
| Let Your Light Shine: Available to seniors, immunocompromised individuals, and low- or no-income families. There are no requirements (ID or otherwise) to receive food. Will ask for size of family and address, so that the organization knows how much food to provide and where they can drop it off. | Meals on Wheels: Find your local Meals on Wheels site here. Provides delivered meals to homebound adults who qualify based on income. Generally, programs serve adults 60 and over, although age requirements can vary by program and areas served. In Colorado, much of the state is covered by Volunteers of America.
