    Hunger Free Colorado: Anyone who might need help locating food can call the Food Resource Hotline, 855.855.4626, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The Food Resource Hotline keeps all information confidential and has bilingual staff ready to help Coloradans find food and nutrition resources in their community, as well as provide assistance for applying to federal nutrition programs such as SNAP.  They also provide a wonderful food resources webpage that lists information regarding school meals near you, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC, and food pantries. You can text FOOD or COMIDA to 877-877 and receive food distribution locations for kids 18 and under or view the website map.

     

    Denver Metro Emergency Food Network: Denver Delivered – meal delivery for homebound and elderly individuals. The Denver Emergency Food Network delivers free, prepared meals to homebound families and elderly individuals in need during the COVID-19 crisis. Due to extremely high demand we are currently at capacity. Please join the wait list. We will reach out as soon as we are able to deliver your meals.
    Meals on Wheels: Provides delivered meals to homebound adults who qualify based on income. Generally, programs serve adults 60 and over, although age requirements can vary by program and areas served. In Colorado, much of the state is covered by Volunteers of America.     Project Angel Heart: Provides meal delivery to residents with critical illnesses. Residents should call the Project Angel Heart main phone number, 303.830.0202, and the front desk will connect residents to a caseworker who will capture their information. There is currently an eight-week waiting list, and residents should call as soon as possible to get on the waitlist.
    Senior Hub Meals on Wheels: Provides a hot, nutritious meal to people ages 60 and above who are unable to prepare one for themselves. Meal deliveries are made Monday-Friday with a delivery window of 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Weekend options may also be available in your area. Clients must be homebound and must also have difficulty preparing a main meal.
